This year’s open-air summer production of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas has regrettably been cancelled.
Set to be directed by Mavis Froud at our summer venue, Foxleigh Grove in Holyport, the current coronavirus crisis means we can no longer produce the play.
This, of course, means that the auditions, set for April 7th and 9th, will not go ahead.
After rebooting the WTG summer show last year with the immensely successful A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it’s with a heavy heart that we cancel Under Milk Wood.
As we’re sure everyone is aware, it is a decision we must enforce due to the indefinite UK lockdown and the measures that are predicted to go on beyond that.
A reminder also that we have postponed Blood Wedding, which would have been having its dress rehearsal tomorrow and going up for its first night on Tuesday at The Old Court, Windsor.
We still have every hope that it can go ahead in the autumn. News regarding this will of course follow as time goes on, when decisions about that can be made.
Sending wishes of good health to our members and supporters. Stay safe.
